What is Urs?
Urs (literally “wedding”) is not a day of sadness. It is the celebration of a beloved’s meeting with their Beloved — the soul’s eternal union with Allah. For the devotees of Syed Safdar Ali Bukhari (RA) — lovingly called Baba G — Urs is a time to remember his legacy of unconditional love. It is a spiritual wedding, not a mourning.
Baba G’s Mission: Unconditional Love
Baba G’s mission was love. He loved everyone without condition — rich or poor, Muslim or non‑Muslim. He shared the healing therapy of listening to Surah Ar‑Rahman with all, and countless lives were transformed. The Urs is a time to hear the experiences of all the Kakas and Kakis (his spiritual children) and to be reminded that love, not fear, is the path to the Divine.
You Don’t Beg from the Saint
You do not come to the Sahib e Darbaar to beg. Begging is reserved only for Allah. Baba G himself said:
“Baba bhi Allah se mangta, tum bhi Allah se maango.”
Come to remember, to love, and to receive the Faiz — not to ask from the saint, but to be reminded that your every need is from Allah alone.
What are the Faiz e Aam Days?
Baba G declared that the 27th, 28th, and 29th of Zil Hajj are days when Allah’s mercy and healing are poured out openly — without any barrier. Whether you are at the Darbar in Lilla or at home across the globe, you can receive the same spiritual blessing. These are the days of Faiz e Aam — the Universal Spiritual Abundance.
